Broadheath Enterprise Centre, Foleshill, Coventry

ClientKeynote Housing Association (Now Midland Heart)
Cost£3.7m

This two phased project centred on the re-use of a redundant school in Coventry. The building was extended and converted to form a Young Persons Centre (for the City Council's Youth Service) and an Enterprise Centre to support young entrepreneurs. On the first floor a number of Live-Work units are provided.

Focused on an internal courtyard, the building has helped to regenerate a part of Foleshill, and creates its own strong identity on Broad Street.

We carried out a number of consultation meetings with young people to try and devise a brief for what was at the time a very new kind of facility in Coventry

Building magazine named Keynote as their Housing Association Regenerator of the Year in 2005 citing this project.
