Telford 6th nears completion!

A new chapter for further education in Telford is taking shape at Ironmasters Way!

Formerly known as Addenbrooke House, the transformation of this existing office building into Telford 6th is nearing completion, with snagging and commissioning works now underway ahead of Practical Completion in the coming weeks.

The project represents a significant retrofit, retaining the building’s existing steel frame and concrete stair cores while stripping the structure back and delivering a fully modernised facility. A completely new façade has been introduced, incorporating contrasting brick colours and detailing to create a distinctive identity for the building and establish a new presence within the wider Station Quarter masterplan.

Once complete, Telford 6th will provide enhanced further education facilities for the Telford and Wrekin area, supporting the next generation of students within a revitalised part of the town.

BM3 are proud to have supported the delivery of this complex transformation, acting as Lead Designer, CDM Principal Designer and Building Regulations Principal Designer from RIBA Stage 5 onwards, helping to navigate the technical challenges of adapting an existing structure into a contemporary educational environment.
