ClientGalliford Try / Daventry District Council / East Midlands Housing Association (EMHA)
Cost£3.5m

The first phase of an innovative scheme by Daventry District Council (DDC) to build 45 new homes in Daventry’s Middlemore estate is now complete.

In 2012 work started work on building the Pepperbox Hill development; a number of new homes in Middlemore which are to be rented out to private tenants by the Daventry Estate Company Limited (TDECL).

This development is one of the first initiatives nationally by a local authority to address housing needs whilst also generating new revenue income to help fund services. The homes are built towards high environmental standards and to the Building for Life Gold Standard - a national standard that promotes design excellence and best practice in the house building industry.

This £3.5 million scheme will see 32 properties being privately rented out by the Daventry Estate Company Limited, while 13 will be affordable homes owned and managed by East Midlands Housing Association.
