In May 2007 BM3 Architecture alongside our development partner Keepmoat Homes were appointed as the preferred development team for the regeneration of the Kingswood Estate on the edge of Corby Town Centre. As part of the government’s ‘Sustainable Communities Plan’, Corby Borough Council commissioned masterplaners to provide a development brief for the regeneration of the wider Kingswood area. To set a standard, Planning Approval had been obtained by the masterplanners for the initial Phase 1a for 46 new dwellings around a public square.

As the preferred development team we delivered the construction of phase 1a followed by the competition wining and construction of phase 1b. In total Phase 1 incorporated close to 200 new dwellings which were all completed on site by summer 2011. This was one of the first developments in Corby where the Code for Sustainable Homes principles were implemented.
